Renewing your authorisation
Renewing is not repeating the application: it is proving again that you still meet the conditions, with the life you have now and not the one you had when it was granted.
This is you if
- Your authorisation has an expiry date and you want to reach it with everything ready.
- You have changed job, income or address since it was granted.
- Your TIE card or a duplicate is due.
- You are going to leave Spain and need to be able to come back.
What we do: we keep watch on the date and the conditions, we tell you when your window opens, and we prepare the renewal with the substance settled —what has to be proven, and with what.

- You have received a request for evidence and you do not know what they are really asking for.
- You have been refused and want to know whether appealing is worth it, or whether there is a better route.
- You have been notified that your authorisation is being revoked, or of a proposed penalty.
What we do: we read the whole file before answering and tell you what room there really is. If there is none, we say so anyway: it is the most valuable information we can give you.

When a request for evidence or a refusal arrives, the clock is running and the options narrow. The first step is not to appeal: it is to understand what went wrong.
Switching route
The route you came in through suited the moment you came in. When your life changes —from studying to working, from one employer to another, from employment to self-employment— the strategy has to change with it. And in time.

- Your family situation opens up a better route than the one you have.
What we do: we check which doors each change opens and which it closes before anything moves. A change that solves this year can cost you long-term residence three years from now.

- You want to bring your spouse, partner, children or parents.
- You are the family member of a Spanish or EU citizen.
- Your family is already here and needs an authorisation of their own, independent of yours.
What we do: we choose the route that best protects each member —it is not always the same one— and fit it to yours, so that everyone’s dates move together.
Bringing your family
The journey is not only yours. Bringing your family has its own route, its own requirements and its own timing: doing it sooner or later changes the outcome.
Long-term residence
The step that stops tying your residence to a job, a company or a particular route: after five years of legal, continuous residence you live in Spain in your own right.
This is you if
- You are approaching five years of legal residence in Spain and want to stop renewing every so often.
- You want the EU version —five years in the Union, the last two in Spain— which also lets you move and work in other member states.
- You have spent long spells abroad and do not know whether your absences have broken the count: there is a limit per trip and another on the total across the five years.
- You had long-term residence and lost it through a prolonged absence.
What we do: we count your residence properly —absences count, and not all of them count the same— and choose between the national and the EU version depending on what you want to do next.
This is you if
- You are from an Ibero-American country, Andorra, the Philippines, Equatorial Guinea or Portugal, or you are Sephardic: two years.
- You were born in Spain, you have been married to a Spanish national for at least a year and are not separated, you are the widow or widower of a Spanish national, or you had a Spanish-born parent or grandparent: one year.
- You have recognised refugee status: five years.
- You already applied and have gone years without an answer.
What we do: we review your residence history before filing —the time has to be legal, continuous and immediately prior to the application—, we prepare the file with its tests (the CCSE and, unless you come from a Spanish-speaking country, the DELE A2) and we stay with you afterwards: filing is not finishing. There is still the wait at the Civil Registry and the oath, which has to be taken within 180 days of being notified of the grant or it lapses.

The final step of the journey. The general period is ten years of legal, continuous residence, but many people qualify for far less —and hardly anyone knows it.

Do I need this if my renewal is two years away?
Yes, and it is the best moment. What you prove at a renewal is not prepared the month before: it is built over those two years.
What if I only need a one-off application?
We do that too. The ongoing support is for people who would rather not keep watch themselves.
Do you take on files someone else started?
Yes. We review the whole thing before taking it on, and we tell you what we find.
Can you guarantee the outcome?
No, and be wary of anyone who promises it. What we do is tell you beforehand if the route is not viable, even if that means you do not hire us.
